WSOP Circuit Toronto 2025: Live Updates & Highlights

Event #1, a $600 No-Limit Hold’em (NLH), drew 804 entries, creating a $397,980 prize pool. Alcioni P.  claimed victory, earning $69,996 and a WSOP Circuit ring. Event #2, the $300 Ladies Event, saw Kimi N. win $13,398. Meanwhile, Event #3, a $1,000 NLH, attracted 847 players, yielding an impressive $719,950 prize pool. At the time of writing on April 13th, only 18 players remained, with $128,941 for the winner and at least $6,700 guaranteed for those who min-cash. 

The $2,000 Main Event, starting April 17th, is generating excitement with projections of a prize pool exceeding $3 million. GGPoker’s partnership is adding to the intrigue, with online qualifiers joining via low buy-in satellites. Meanwhile, the new events like the $800 Mystery Bounty and the Ladies Event showcase the series’ diversity, while improved registration processes are keeping tables packed despite high demand. At this early stage, I think tournament organizers are going to be very optimistic about their chances of staging a successful event.

Furthermore, with all the border drama that's in the news, it will be interesting to see if current affairs with the Canadian/American border transcend into improved numbers for the event in Toronto relative to last year (ie, Are Canadian poker players staying home?).
