  • Kristen Foxen wins PokerGO Cup No Limit Texas Hold'em event.
  • Overcame a field that included 86 players.
  • Won $348,300 from a nearly $1.3M prize pool, reinforcing her top player status.
Kristen Foxen now ranks ninth among Canada's all-time money list.

Canadian poker player Kristen Foxen won a $15,000 + 100 No Limit Texas Hold'em event this week. Foxen outlasted a total field of 86 players to win the PokerGO Cup event (Event 7) on Tuesday and Wednesday. She was the only Canadian player to turn in a significant result in the tournament, one that had an American-heavy presence in Las Vegas.

While the total field was very small for a No Limit event, some talented players were in the tournament. Looking at the late finishers in the event, Eric Seidel was among those in the cash as the American player finished fourth. Furthermore, American David Peters finished sixth. Those are a couple of heavy hitters when it comes to the all-time money list for poker.

But Foxen, who is a well-known Canadian player, outlasted them all. In doing so, she took down a prize of $348,300 from a tournament prize pool that approached $1.3M. The Hendon Mob lists Foxen as the No. 9 ranked Canadian on the all-time money list for Canada and the top Canadian woman.

Foxen has been active in PokerGO events lately. Only about a month ago, she won a $10,000 + 100 No Limit Hold'em event at the 2025 PGT Kickoff and claimed a $197,625 prize. In between wins, she had a couple of disappointing results earlier in February but still managed 9th-place and 14th-place finishes at Event #4 and Event #2 respectively at the PokerGo Cup events.

Foxen celebrated her 38th birthday in late December 2024. She is a player to keep tabs on with the 2025 WSOP looming in the months ahead. She has already won four bracelets and last year she managed to find her way to a 13th-placed finish at the 2024 Main Event.
